Sunflower Care e.V.

On 24 February 2022, Russia directly invaded Ukraine, and the lives of all disabled, chronically ill, neurodivergent children and their caregivers in Ukraine have been in danger since then. Back in 2014, when the war started, many families had to leave their homes and look for shelter. Now they are going through the traumatic experience again.

We at Sunflower Care volunteer to help such families leave Ukraine if they decide to do so. We assist them in finding a better place to live, getting in touch with state authorities, doctors, and schools.

We are a team of more than 50 volunteers

Since 24 February 2022, nearly 500 families have contacted us.
Among them, 370 families have members with disabilities, chronic illnesses or neurodivergences.

Nearly 320 families have been evacuated from Ukraine thanks to our team’s active involvement. Other families have contacted us from refugee camps and shelters for temporary accommodation in Germany, Poland, Moldova, and Estonia.
